Amanda Scaffe
Amanda Scaffe is a prenatal genetic counselor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. A graduate of the University of Maryland Master's in Genetic Counseling Training Program, she returned to Maryland's Center for Advanced Fetal Care as a practicing counselor in 2002. She offers comprehensive prenatal genetic counseling, discussing appropriate screening and diagnostic options with patients who have various concerns including family history issues, abnormal ultrasound findings, maternal age and medication use during pregnancy. In addition to patient care, she participates in the training of residents, medical students and genetic counseling students through lectures as well as clinical supervision.
