Gynecologic Oncology
As women mature, they are at increased risk for a greater number of diseases that may affect their health. The Division of Gynecologic Oncology focuses on gynecologic care for the maturing woman, management of complex gynecologic problems and management of pre-cancerous or cancerous problems of the female reproductive tract.
University of Maryland Women’s Health offers comprehensive care, including surgery, radiation and chemotherapy, designed to meet the needs of women with known or suspected gynecologic cancers. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of radiation oncologists, pathologists, advanced practice nurses and psychologists within the University of Maryland Medical Center and the Greenebaum Cancer Center, the Division of Gynecologic Oncology provides a patient-centered approach to cancer care.
